What kind of chocolate is used?
A: The finest Premium Gourmet Fondue Chocolate is used in
all Alpine Chocolate Fountains. This
ensures a smooth and elegant flow of chocolate as
well as a decadent flavor and texture. Chocolate is
available in milk, white, or dark.

Q: What is the maximum number of guests that
the chocolate dipping fountain will serve?
A: The
Home Chocolate Fountain
comes standard with enough chocolate for about 40
guests. The
Elegant Chocolate Fountain package includes unlimited
Premium Gourmet Fondue Chocolate
which will serve up to 250 guests. Additional
chocolate can be purchased for larger parties. We
will be happy to provide you with any chocolate
leftover from your event.

Q: What are the table
and electrical requirements?
A: The chocolate dipping fountain requires a very
sturdy and level table for it
to operate properly. The Home Fountain table must
support 50 lbs. and the Elegant Fountain table must
support 150 lbs. The table should be covered coordinating with your
event. The fountain also requires a grounded, 120
volt electrical outlet with 15 amps within 10 feet
of where the fountain will be located.

Q: Who is responsible
for set-up, maintenance, tear-down, and clean-up of
the chocolate dipping fountain?
A: The
Home Chocolate Fountain
(for smaller groups) allows as little...or as
much...service as you would like. It's offered in an
"à la carte" manner where you can do-it-yourself or
have us provide all the service for you. The
Elegant Chocolate Fountain
comes with a full-service Chocolate Concierge who
will do all the work for you! We arrive
approximately 90-minutes prior to the "dipping start
time" to ensure that the fountain will be ready for
your guests. Our "chocolate concierge" will be on
hand to show your guests how to enjoy the fountain
as well as to keep the fountain flowing and clean at
all times. When the event is over, we will dismantle
and clean up and remove the fountain.

Q: How long can I
have the chocolate dipping fountain at my event?
A: The
Home Fountain may
be rented for a 24-hour period during which you may
use the fountain at your convenience. The
Elegant Fountain
package includes up to three hours of
service, not including set-up and breakdown (these
are on our own time). There is extensive labor
involved in preparing the fountain for any event, as
well as cleaning after your event. For this reason,
we do not offer discounts for parties that last
under 3 hours.

Q: What can be dipped
in the chocolate dipping fountain?
A: The possibilities for dipping are endless! View

Q: What happens if a
guest accidentally drops a dessert into the
fountain?
A: Our chocolate concierge will locate the
"submerged dipper" and discard it so that the smooth
flow of your fountain will not be jeopardized.

Q: Can the chocolate
dipping fountain be used outdoors?
A: Unfortunately not. The incredible aroma of the
warm chocolate will draw the attention of many
guests -- both invited and uninvited (with wings
and/or eight legs). Additionally, variations in
weather conditions would impact the temperature of
the chocolate which would interfere with the warm
smooth texture so critical to the overall
experience.

Q: Do you provide any
decorations for around the chocolate dipping
fountain?
A: Tablecloths and decorations are available for
rent with the Home Fountain package. The Elegant
Fountain package provides white drapes and other
decorations to accent the
area around the fountain. We may also
often use your own napkins for color "accents," if
you would like. If you are working with a caterer,
they may want to provide proper table decorations
coordinating with your themed event.

Q: What areas does
Alpine Chocolate Fountains
service?
A: Our chocolate fountains are a gourmet favorite in
Southern California! We are able to provide delivery
services
throughout most parts of San Diego County.
Additional travel fees of $25 per 30 mile
increment (or portion thereof) will be incurred
for outlying areas that are more than 30 miles from Alpine, CA.

Q: Do you require
reservations and deposit?
A: Reservations are very limited and are on a first
come, first serve basis. We require a confirmed
reservation and a deposit of $50 for the Home
Fountain and $250 for the Elegant Fountain at the
time of reservation. The
remaining balance will be charged 10 days before your
scheduled event.
